May Long Weekend

For the first time, probably since I was a kid protected by a nice big trailer, I'm going camping this May long weekend. The forecast is already calling for rain on Saturday (and Friday if you believe The Weather Network) and the lows are currently hovering around +10, a ways from the preferred +15 or so. But Alix and I always start camping late into the season and end up only making it out twice a year with the second time on the September long weekend. If that happens this year we're gonna be in trouble because as it is the wedding is already eating up so much of our time. We don't have the luxury of waiting for perfect weather or long weekends in 2010, we've got to make the most of what we have or else winter will be here before we can deal with it.

For those interested Ubuntu 10.04 was released a couple weeks ago. As I always say if you have an old computer lying around running WinXP or something even older then that bring it up to date and throw a copy of good ol' Ubuntu on there. This time it has a fancy new look and something called "Social from the Start". Basically if you live your life in social media, Ubuntu is now the bestest friend you could have. Plus it's free!
