Flipped Fortunes

Greetings! I'm making this post early since I gotta work at nine in the morning and I don't figure i'll be up in time to type one of these out AND get ready for work. So seeing as most people would probably appreciate me having that shower when I wake up here's todays edition of, this...

Yesterday was pretty much all about work. While I had hoped to do some other stuff my late awakening kind of put a damper on that and two o'clock came pretty quick. My shift in the Garden Centre was essentially one big cashier adventure without the stale air. I also watered some plants and moved some stock around (plus a carry out) but most of my day was spent behind the till. There were five of us on tonight but I spent most of my time "working hard" with Jaime and Trevor.

Along the way I also managed to pick up a csm shift for today (giving me 39 hours for this week) which unfortuantely requires my presence at nine am. At least i'll be done early I guess, giving me more time to do whatever it is I do during my time off. Toodle Oo!

'Spaces' Scenario

So just before I went to bed last night someone asked me the inevitable question, "Why isn't your blog on MSN Spaces?" I figured such a question would show up sooner or later, especially since the person who talked me into having a blog has theirs on 'Spaces.' So what was my answer? Well I rattled off a bunch of different reasons - all valid - but in the end I basically just told 'em "People like different things, I like this."

My day yesterday went pretty slow. I watched a bunch more episodes from the 'Simpson" DVD's i've been getting since Christmas and I worked what turned out to be a pretty slow shift with a pretty good crew at the ol' store. By "ol" of course I am referring to how quickly that place seems to be falling apart...

Today it seems like a nice day out there already so I might do more of the same as yesterday only out on the deck. Ah warm weather. I work at two which is alot earlier then yesterday, though todays shift is something special since it's one of my picked up shifts in Seasonal.

Well I suppose I should put some feet under this day and get things started. See ya'll on the flip side!

Third Time Teased

It's a Bird! It's a Plane! No, it's the third instalment of BBBB!

So yesterday turned out to be an alright (if not slightly rushed) day after all. Shawn got here around 2ish catching me watching 'Simpsons' on my deck. He gave me a WebCam for my B-Day (I think it's a hint that I need to get into the future and quit with all this typing business) and then we headed out on our way looking at parks for the big ol' Bonfire last night.

After we finished our driving adventures with that we rushed over to the Capitol to catch a showing of The Longest Yard. A playful romp through, well, a prison. Good times nonetheless and it had that guy from that show in it, so how could one not like it?

Shortly after 7:30 we finally made it to the Bonfire (without the forecast rain.) Shawn and I met Jaime Ross (who'd already been waiting) there and we built a wonderous fire. After Jaime left, April and Brent arrived and shortly after that Devin, Nicole, Cornelia, Amy, Matt, and Chris arrived (I think his name was Chris.) Devin and company didn't stay long though, apparently thanks to the fact they'd already come from their own BBQ/Bonfire/Outdoor Activity...

Anyways, twas my day yesterday. Today i've got work later tonight and that's about it. Exciting stuff!

Second Synopsis

Hello again there Internet dwellers. I was told that updates would be expected of me and so here is the second in the series brought to you by Lardland Industries, if it don't got lard in it, don't eat it.

Today I am faced with a predicament. All week i've been advertising on msn my precious little BBQ & Bonfire for tonight in celebration of my 21st birthday last Tuesday. It's beautiful looking outside right now but colder weather and rain is forecast for tonight. That's the problem. Plus the fact that beyond msn i've barely told anyone about it because of this gloomy forecast. It would seem that I have some work ahead of me...

Shawn is on his way out from Winnipeg right now after sleeping in past the time he was supposed to get here. Which has left me in a holding pattern since I got up early for his arrival. Days without work are so complicated! That or I just need dependable friends, I can't decide (sense the sarcasm?)

Boring Beginning Blog

First off i'd like to say that no, not every title/subject line in my blog will be an alliteration. Just todays, and maybe yesterdays. Lemme know when you get there.

So, my friend Katie told me I should start a new blog and since I still got another 2 hours till work, why not. Other than the fact that I still have to have a shower and my laptops battery is slowly dying.

I love Wi-Fi. For the first time ever I can now sit in front of my living room window wearing whatever I please (possibly horrifying my neighbours in the process) surfing the web wirelessly with ease. My new laptop rocks too, it's a mac. Which means my version of msn messenger is a wee bit crippled, but I can live with that for all the other cool things I can now do.

I'm talkin with my friend Shawn on Skype right now too. Not that he's saying much, that or i'm just not listening as I try to set this darn thing up. I'm a selective listener, those who work with me probably realize that, even though I selectively choose to listen to most everything...

Well I suppose there's more setup to do on this darn thing before it can be released to the world so perhaps I should get to that. I wish with these "setup wizards" an actual little wizard would appear to read my thoughts and complete the process for me. That way I could have myself a nice hot shower. Why are there cold water taps? I mean who really likes cold water anyways?

NOT ME!!!
