Morning Mania

Morning everybody,

Today's the first day of the second term here at ACC, and it's also the due date for my flash animation. It's just been handed in and it will be posted to JSN later on today. Also, I will try and get a few of my classmates to submit theirs for posting to JSN as well.

Pub Crawl 2 will start Post-Production either today or tomorrow for its release at the end of the week. I didn't get near as much material this time as I did last time so I'm kind of interested to see how it's going to go..

I'm on Newsline again today so tune into WCGtv (Channel 12) at 1:00 or 6:00 today to see that.

That's all for now, Happy Halloween!

Calling the Crawl

Howdy everyone. Just thought I'd put the word out that episode two of the B-Side Pub Crawl is currently in pre-production and will go into production this thursday night. Locations currently scheduled for recording include the Houstons country roadhouse as well as several other locations around town. This time we'll be doing the episode in the context of both a birthday for our subject AND the Mardi-Gras party at Houstons. It's sure to be a good time and hopefully I can raise the bar for this next episode, which is due to be released on the November 4th edition of the B-Side at 1:30pm and on the JSN homepage later that day at 3:30pm.

If you have yet to listen to the current episode of the Pub Crawl then just go ahead and click on the "JayCr Sytes Network" link on the right hand side of this page. Then either click on the "podcasts" link on the left of the JSN page or the episode posting in the "JSN Today" section.

Also still to come in the not too distant future for content includes my 10 second flash cartoon entry which will be released on JSN this Monday (that's something i'm leaving to work on right after this posting, not quite sure how it's gonna turn out,) and my appearance on Westman Newsline this Friday and Monday at 1:00pm on WCGtv (Channel 12.)

Talk to ya all later!

Plethora of Projects

Hidey ho there jsn'ers! I'm just sitting here watching Titanic (not because I had a hankering for a love story, but because I've always had an interest in the story of the ship. Really...) Anyways I just thought I'd take a moment and write my sad little story of how overwhelmed I am with this course I'm currently taking at school.

For those of you who are unaware, I'm taking Media Production at our local good ol' community college. I'm in my second year and while I feel my class is doing some great work this year it's all become so overwhelming that I don't know when I'm going to find time to get all my school stuff done, work my job at Wal-Mart and still find time for myself.

Obviously I'm still managing to balance my time seeing as I'm watching a movie right now (by the way, the movie is at the point now where the boat is sinking and Rose and Jack are being chased by Roses fiance who's wielding a gun, whoever said this was a chick flick? It's exciting stuff!)

The future does not look as bright though when it comes to finding time for it all, especially as we come closer to the due date for my major term project, which i'm not enjoying working on right now. Hopefully though I can finally start shooting it by the end of this week.

Anyways that's my sad little story, big things still to come for this week include my multimedia flash project (which may be at least slightly dissapointing due to my lack of planning and lack of photoshop skilz,) Pub Crawl Episode 2 taping sometime this weekend, start of shooting for my profile (hopefully,) and my first on-air episode this season of Westman Newsline on News.

Ticked Turtle

So, for those of you who are unaware I haven't exactly been having a good weekend. It's not so bad that a member of my family has died, become sick, or announced their desire to emigrate to the United States. My weekend could still be far worse, however that being said it hasn't exactly been a barrel of laughs either.

Quite frankly it's been more like a barrel of monkeys. Work has been tough and to be honest I should have stuck to my guns and stayed home today. I've had to deal with alot of stupid things in my job but last night felt like the last straw and I have yet to find a way to get myself past it.

I say this not because I want to go into detail on here about what happened, but because I've heard grumblings that I was being coined as the nasty csm today. While I will admit I wasn't extra courteous by any means today or yesterday and perhaps I was a little slower, I still feel like I've been doing my job and so if you could find the strength to forgive me for this weekend then I think we'll all be a little better off.

As for some good news my "Pub Crawl" segment finally aired on Friday and has so far received generally good reviews. You can download it free and give your own review on it by visiting the JSN Podcasts section. Also I've made a new Blog post obviously and the Lotto 6/49 jackpot is now up to $40 million CDN. I might actually go and buy my first lottery ticket this week, just for the heck of it...
